Both Mindset and Mindfulness are critical considerations in NLP training and coaching. Firstly, NLP coaching works on the basis that we can change our mindset. Indeed, we can do this by reframing our belief systems and restructuring our values. Secondly, NLP coaching and training brings clients into the present moment, keeping one eye firmly on the future. Being present, or mindfulness, is a fundamental oart of mental wellbeing.
A mindset refers to whether you believe qualities such as intelligence and talent are fixed or changeable traits. Some psychologists suggest there are two different types of mindset:
Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing. Specifically, it involves being less reactive and requires we pay less attention to our surroundings.
Actually, each and every one of us possesses the capacity for mindfulness. We just have to learn how to access it. In fact, there are many ways we can do this. One of the most popular is paying attention to your body. When we direct our focus or attention with purpose, we empty our heads!
