Business & Personal Relationships Pay The Price of An Imbalanced Root Chakra
When our heart chakra is balanced we are compassionate, nurturing, unconditionally loving and we look for a deep connection with others. Moreover, we trust the decisions we make and we have mutual respect for ourselves and others. Essentially, this perspective builds the foundation for healthy relationships. Hence, heart chakra balance equals better relationships – both inside and out of the home.
What Happens When Our Heart Chakra Balance Is Off-Kilter?
Conversely, when our heart chakra is blocked we fear rejection, we are too attached to the love we have for things or people, we dive into self-pity and we do not feel worthy of love or acceptance. This can create feelings of resentment because we want to be recognised, even though we may hide in the shadows.
Moreover, when our heart chakra is too open we feel possessive, we are only able to love or engage under certain conditions and we resist sharing our emotions or ideas to punish others.
Actually, we often associate the heart chakra with romance and personal love. It’s useful to remember that it also relates to our ability to find passion in our work, to build trusting relationships and to trust our feelings.
Where Is The Heart Chakra And What Is It?
The heart chakra, or ‘anahata’ in Sanskrit, resides at the centre of the spine at heart level. The word ‘Anahata’ roughly translates to, “unstruck.” I admit brings giggles as it makes me think of the Zen Koan “What does a one-handed clap sound like?” However, it could also be loosely translated as ‘unhurt’ or the ability to pass through life without losing our stability.
Accordingly, the heart chakra acts as the individual’s center of compassion, empathy, love, passion, and forgiveness. You’ll agree these are profoundly important elements for all relationships, personal and business.
Actually, the heart chakra relates to the element of air and our ability to breathe easily.
Heart Chakra Balance Also Equals A Better Relationship With Your Body
Some people relate imbalance in this chakra to physical symptoms such as heart problems, respiratory problems, thymus challenges and a poor immune system.
Therefore, there’s never been a better time to make sure our heart energy core is in tip-top condition.
Foods For A Healthy Heart Chakra
First rule of thumb with the heart chakra is to think green! In fact, green and leafy is the heart chakra’s best medicine. Think spinach, kale, broccoli, bok choi, seaweed, moringa, curry leaf etc.
In addition, superfood supplements for the heart chakra include spirulina, chlorella, wheat grass, barley grass, matcha powder, green tea or maca powder.
Indeed there are also useful herbs for the heart. These include coriander, mint, oregano, parsley, sage, tarragon, rosemary, thyme and chives.
